Live centers are designed for use on lathes. The extended clamping portion of live centers provides easy access for tools to the workpiece. This feature is particularly advantageous for cutting with tools that have replaceable cutting tips and for operations on copying lathes. The construction of the live center allows for the adjustment of radial clearance. The live center comes with a clamping shank MORSE CSN 22 0420 (DIN 228, ISO 296) and does not include a clamping thread.
